Models for Program Planning Reference Group hold their first Meeting in July 2016, London
The first official assembly of the Models for Program Planning (MPP) Reference Group was held on 12th-13th July in London, UK. This purpose of this meeting was to review the characteristics of a variety of HIV intervention models, including the three used routinely in program planning and other relevant academic models.

Allocative Efficiency Tools Fit-For-Purpose Assessment
As countries make decisions about how to allocate available resources in order to maximise their returns in public health outcomes, the use of allocative efficiency tools can aid the decision-making process. This workshop held on Saturday 18 July in Vancouver provided an opportunity for review and discussion of current approaches.

Consultation workshop on implementation of ART monitoring in support of 2015 WHO ARV Guidelines development
As part of the work package providing modelling to support the development of the 2015 WHO ARV Guidelines we held a consultation meeting with policy makers and programme planners in order to ensure that modelling reflected programmatic realities in sub-Saharan Africa.

Technical Meeting on Methods for Estimating Subnational HIV Prevalence
The Secretariat convened a meeting in Nairobi, 24 – 25 March 2014 in which modelling groups, representatives from UNAIDS, the Health Policy Project, and representatives from country program teams to discuss the utility of sub-national estimates of HIV epidemiology and review the proposed methods.
